What is CoolSculpting® Elite?
CoolSculpting® is the only FDA-cleared, non-surgical fat-reduction treatment that uses controlled cooling to eliminate stubborn fat that resists all efforts through diet and exercise in adults. The results are proven, noticeable, and lasting—so you’ll look great from every angle.
How does CoolSculpting® work?
CoolSculpting® effectively targets and freezes fat cells without damaging the skin or surrounding tissue through a process called cryolipolysis. In the weeks to months following treatment, the body naturally processes the fat and eliminates these dead cells. Once the cells are gone they are gone for good, however, it is important to maintain a healthy lifestyle as weight gain can reduce the appearance of your result.
CoolSculpting® is cleared to eliminate stubborn fat under the jawline, under the chin, the upper arms, back fat, bra fat, the flank area (love handles), abdomen, thighs, and under the buttocks (banana roll).
What is the Elite difference?
CoolSculpting® Elite uses the same cooling technology but now covers up to 18% more surface area than previous CoolSculpting® generations, targeting more fat cells in the same treatment time. It feels the same for clients, however, it’s like getting additional CoolSculpting at no additional cost. The Elite device also has two applicators, allowing for your provider to treat multiple areas at once while reducing your time in-office.
CoolSculpting vs. CoolSculpting Elite
Better engineered = patients are getting faster and better results than ever seen before
Two applicators on each machine = freezing more fat in less time
Redesigned applicator = better contact, better grip, and better results
Better rewards = more Allē points for CoolSculpting® Elite and other Allergan services
Removable applicator heads = more treatments in less time
Quieter machine = more relaxation
What to Expect:
What to expect during your consultation:
During your consultation, discuss what areas you'd like to treat, your body contouring goals, and ask questions about the treatment.
Your provider will assess if you’re a candidate for treatment and develop your personalized treatment plan.
Personalized treatment plans include how many CoolSculpting® treatment sessions you’ll need to see your desired result. A treatment session is each time you come in for a treatment appointment with your provider. Each session may include multiple CoolSculpting® treatments. For many patients, two or more treatment sessions are recommended to reach their body contouring goals.
What to expect during treatment:
Your provider will take clinical photographs to help you track your before, during, and after progress.
Next, your provider will outline the area to be treated, apply a gel pad to create a barrier between the applicator and your skin, and then place the applicators on your body.
As treatment begins, you’ll feel a light vacuum pressure and an intense cold. After approximately 10 minutes or so, the area being treated will become temporarily numb.
Everyone has their own sensitivity to discomfort, but most patients do not find the treatment painful. In fact, many people say they like to read, catch up on email, watch TV shows, or even take a nap.
When each treatment ends, the applicator(s) and gel pad are removed. The treated area is then massaged for 2 minutes to help break up the fat cells.
On average, each treatment is as little as 35-75 minutes per cycle (applicator), depending on the area treated. Each session is 1-3 hours on average. With the CoolSculpting® Elite machine, dual applicators can treat two areas at the same time.
What to expect after treatment:
Since CoolSculpting® has little to no downtime, you can go back to your busy day.
Most common side effects include temporary bruising, swelling, and tenderness of the treatment site, which typically resolves in 1-2 weeks.
CoolSculpting® is not a weight loss procedure. Continue to maintain your usual diet and exercise routine.
Since many patients receive more than one treatment session, you may return for additional treatments in 6-8 weeks.
Your body will naturally eliminate the treated fat cells. Typically, it takes 1-3 months to see results, with full results taking 6 months or more.
After your treatment plan is complete, don't forget to ask to see your before, during, and after photographs!
